Winter Continues

Wow! I feel like I am under house arrest! Yesterday was snow and freezing rain. Today was freezing rain and fog. No point in trying to get out. Walking is a risky business but I did get out to take a few pictures. You can see the ice on the limbs and dripping from the leaves.

I thought I was doing so well this winter. After all, this is no worse than last winter in Virginia. But suddenly those ads on TV for Caribbean vacations with gorgeous blue/green water and white sand beaches are looking pretty good!

And while we haven't had a tree fall on the house like last year in Virginia, we have had furnace trouble. We are planing to replace it in the spring and hope the repairs will last until then.

That translates to no vacation in the sun!

Love the picture but not the ice. Hopefully today will be a better day. Hopefully! As much as I don't like all the snow we got I'm grateful it wasn't ice. Stay safe and warm and talk sweetly to that furnace to keep it going until spring.

Furnace problems is never a good thing - but especially not when it is freezing out! Hope you are able to get out and about today. We are going to try to.

You know you're really living in the snow belt when your vacation is big and grey and sits idle for half the year but is essential for the other half!

Well I hope you are able to stay warm. We were told we were going to gets lots of snow tihs year, but it hasn't happen for us in the northwest. It is cold. It's a good time to do all those indoor projects and lots of reading. Your photos are always very pretty.
