One day recently Mr. B and I had a picnic across the street from our house. The creek is surrounded by community property where it flows into the lake so feels almost like our front yard. We sat at a picnic table in the shade and just enjoyed the day. The boats in the slips were bobbing in the current, fish were jumping and a cardinal was singing. Two ducks swam up the creek, got out and groomed themselves, had a flurry with three other ducks and then they all headed down the creek and into the lake.
Luckily I had my camera with me. I'm joining Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

What you've described could be a prescription for a non-pharmaceutical means of lowering blood pressure. Everyone should be able to spend such a peaceful time. Love your ducky mosaic!
A picnic along the creek sounds wonderful!A wonderfull way to re-connect with the simple things in life!

perfect for weekends creek sounds perfect place to relax!
Love afternoons spent outside, under the shade of the trees, watching nature and napping ;) We use to live in an apt. complex that had a pond and it had swans and ducks and every spring we watch the hatchlings follow their mother all over the property. We had our apt. facing the pond with big windows and a balcony so it was very relaxing. Use to leave our windows open at night to hear the water. Have a great week, fondly, Roberta

Thanks for your comments. Your duck mosaic and picnic day story and pictures remind me of the beautiful park that was in my childhood neighbourhood. I scrolled down your sidebar and read about Kevin. what an accomplished actor he is! You must be so proud of him!
