I took a walk with my camera on a gray rainy day thinking there were no signs of spring. To my amazement I found this flowering quince ready to burst into bloom. It certainly made my day!

There is always something so quietly precious about this time of year...the renewal, the revival of prettiness all around us...makes our outdoor walks breathtakingly memorable!

Flowering quince is beautiful! I've been finding some definite signs of spring here in northern VA too! Love your photos.
It is wonderful to see pretty sign of spring. I am really anxious to see some flowers and blooms in my own yard.
The quince is lovely. I'm enjoying my camellias.

To answer your question- We designed, and picked all the fabric for the two solo dresses that my daughter had. But we had a seamstress sew them.
