I'm hooked on SUNSHINE!
I took this picture in my front yard yesterday. After a day of rain I had to get out of the house for this moment of sunshine. It was still raining but I couldn't see a rainbow. Don't we all respond to sunshine? You feel your spirits lift when you wake up and see that the sun is shinning.
I'm participating in Julia's Hooked on Houses Friday Blog Party. Please leave a comment so I know you were here! Do you like sunshine?
Watch the sun rise and set all over the world on this real-time, computer-generated illustration of the earth's patterns of sunlight and darkness. Click on the picture for a full screen view.

I LOVE sunshine!! But we haven't had nearly enough of it so far this summer. Fingers crossed that August is sunny!!
I hope Matt will inspire you to keep painting and trying out new techniques. I remember the post with your paintings from a little while back -- you're off to a great start :-)

Have a blessed weekend!
What a neat map! I always love it when I start seeing sunshine and blue clouds after it has rained!
Yes, I love some rays on my face! But more than that, any kind of bright daylight cheers me up. The biggest difference I've noticed, moving from London to California, is the overall quality of light. I'm addicted, no going back now!
Hi Nancy. I know what you mean. I'm ready for cooler temps but sunshine does the body good. Love your image.
i am practically dying this summer with the severe lack of sunshine... sigh!
What a gorgeous picture! That's your front yard? Breathtaking!

Hi there. Yeah, I love the sun. If you know anything about what the weather has been like in Maine this summer, we have practically forgotten what the thing looks like!!
Thanks for stopping by The Porch, Nancy, I am so thrilled to find another porch out here in blogland. =)
Living in South Africa means that sunshine is one of our great and prevalent gifts, so I adore it, but I also adore the rain, getting relatively little of it. God's weather is just brilliant any which way, isn't it?
Truly breathtaking photo you published, wow!
Fabulous view of the sky and sun through the trees, really brightens your day to spy scenes like this and thanks for sharing.
Holy cow that's something! It's a beautiful sight! ~Jeanne
