Lots and lots of snow here. How nice not to have to go anywhere. I did a little shoveling and took some pictures in the yard.I need snowshoes to get into the woods! Has anyone tried these new types of snowshoes? How about these from LL Bean.

I've never tried snowshoes - lots of cross country skiing but never the shoes. Good luck!
I was just looking at those snowshoes last month when I was at an LL Bean in New Hampshire. I didn't end up getting them but they are very nice weight and sturdy. This year sure would be a great one to have any type of snow fun equipment. I can't believe how much snow the south and east has gotten while we have yet to have any type of major storm. Go figure. Stay warm and don't shovel too much.
I tried snowshoeing years ago when I was much younger. It is hard work using them. Those snowshoes you posted look like they may work better than those old fashioned ones with the mesh.
I remember when I moved last time how I slaved to get those boxes unpacked so I could put the car in the garage. I was so tired when I moved in that it was hard to do all the unpacking, but when it was done it was such a relief. Snowshoes, that sounds like fun. Let us know if you try them.
