This little house sparrow was on the railing next to the outdoor eating area. Don't worry. Mr. B shared his roll. Click here to learn about house sparrows and hear his chirp.
As we ate we could watch the boats coming and going. It was a very gray day and the light was dull, so I transformed this picture of the view to black and white.
This Avery Point Light has undergone a half million dollar restoration. This site shows a Before picture. There are two other lighthouses at Avery Point.
There is a nice brick path along the rocky shore where you can see the "Sculpture by the Sea." I loved this pink pig.
I'm joining Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

Hello! Thank you for the comment you left in my blog. It always makes me happy when new people visit my humble blog. :)
You sure had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend with your family. I love the sceneries and of course to lobster too.
I hope we could know each other better by following each others blogs. That would really make me happy.
Have a great day!
O, I love your bird mosaic...really pretty. Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your son in law. I'm sure he loved it all.
Living in West Texas all my life, far far from the ocean, I've never developed a taste for sea food. Mr. Sweet loves it, tho.:)
Your Mr. B was sure right...we are praying night and day for rain. Sure would appreciate it if you would pray for us, too. We all know what GOD can do when HIS children pray. :)

We visited the east coast last year and I so miss anything and everything with lobster! I never eat it here in the Pacific NW. Those birds are so sweet too!
That looks a great place to visit!!
When I tried to get to your post from the little red house it went back to Mary's is your link ok on the little red house? Jackie in Surrey, UK.
Sweet birds! The grey days have been here too long this summer but the bright days of autumn are just around the corner here. glad you enjoyed the day.
We pass by Avery point often, but have never actually been! ... love the pig :)
I love lobster and haven't had a good 'feed' since the last time I was in Nova Scotia. It sounds like you had a great time at Avery Pt.
What a lovely mosaic and your photo's of the little sparrow are gorgeous. I love what you did with the dull photo and put it in black and white. Great idea.
This is the area I was born and raised in. I lived there for 37 years. Most of my family still lives there! My grandmother loved to go down to Avery Point and there was a spot where she could watch the swans. Wonderful memories!
Very scenic, too bad about the food, but definitely a beautiful view!
Cute sparrow mosaic. I really like the lighthouse. I seem to have developed a fondness for them ever since seeing the ocean for the first time seven years or so ago.
Thanks for the visit. Do you have photos of your new hydrangea on here?

What a lovely post, I would love to live by the sea or even visit from time to time.
I love your favorite poem...funny and sweet.
I am your newest follower and would love for you to come follow me.
Have a wonderful day and good luck with your downsizing!!
What a darling bird and I'm happy it got some roll for looking so cute ;) What a wonderful place to visit. I love the pig sculpture and the lighthouse is beautiful.
It worked. Love the photos. About the books, there is a lot of different ideas about what a healthy diet is and these books both say it is low carb esp. for a diabetic. What took me a while to embrace is letting go of the low fat idea and also counting calories. The only reason I ever count cal. is to make sure I'm getting enough, so my body doesn't go into starvation mode. Take care. Linda
